Crystal R. Eninew – Barrister and Solicitor

Crystal was born and raised in Lac La Ronge, Saskatchewan. She is Cree and a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

In 2007, Crystal received her Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. Crystal then completed the Program of Legal Studies for Native People, in the summer of 2007. In 2010, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. During University, Crystal served as President of the Aboriginal Law Students Association from 2009–2010. Crystal also served as the Aboriginal Student Representative on the Board of Directors for Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City Inc. (CLASSIC) from 2008–2010. Crystal also worked part time for the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations Justice Secretariat, and the Native Law Centre of Canada.

After completing law school, Crystal moved back to the north to Prince Albert where she articled with Legal Aid Saskatchewan. Crystal was admitted as a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in May 2011. Crystal practiced with the law firm of Novus Law Group, from 2011 to 2017. Crystal practiced with McAuley Law Firm from 2017 to 2018.

Crystal is a sole practitioner and opened her own practice in April of 2018. Crystal is experienced and has practiced primarily in the areas of family law, criminal law, real estate, corporate, Aboriginal law, and child protection. Throughout her legal career, Crystal has focused her work primarily in Court room litigation. Crystal regularly appears in Court and has appeared in the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and in the Federal Court of Canada. Crystal regularly travels to various Court points in Northern Saskatchewan and Central Saskatchewan.

Crystal is the President of the Prince Albert Bar Association, a position she has held since 2012. Crystal is also a member of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association.

Crystal is strongly connected with her home community of La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Crystal travels home to visit with friends and family as often as she can. In March of 2018, Crystal received recognition from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band for outstanding achievement as a career role model.
